Self Portrait Analysis

I took six pictures of myself and each picture reveals a little about me. The first one I took was of me using a video camera, so the viewer knows that I love to make movies. The second picture I took was of me reading Harry Potter, so the viewer knows that I love to read. The third picture I took was of me outside, in yellow flowers, this shows the viewer that I am gentle and love nature. The fourth picture I took was of me in an old-fashioned hat, this shows the viewer that I am very quaint and have a liking for purple. The fifth picture I took was of me outside in the grass, so the viewer knows that I have a love for grass and greenery. The final picture I took was of me drinking out of a tea mug that is from San Francisco. This picture implies that I love tea and the city- San Francisco. There is also a background picture that I took of the wash outside of my house, one day after it had rained. I added this picture as the background because I love when it’s overcast outside and rainy. I then, positioned the picture of me with the camera to be right next to the overcast picture. I wanted to make it look like I was filming the overcast, rainy day. My self portrait shows that I can be crazy, tranquil, and happy. I feel like it also captures all of my personalities and even some of my favorite things and places. Overall, I believe the assignment went very well and I am very happy with my self portrait.
